Taylor King, 91, of Green Valley, AZ, formerly of Chesterton, IN, passed
away Wednesday, July 14, 2010. She was born April 3, 1919 in Valparaiso to
Howard and Elsie (Adams) Bundy. Mrs. King graduated from Wheeler High School in
1937 and attended Valparaiso University. She served as the business secretary
at Kouts School from 1956 to 1967; and later worked as the secretary for the
Chamber of Commerce in Chesterton, and was the business secretary at Westchester
Middle School. She was a member of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Green
Valley, AZ.
On September 29, 1940 in Wheeler she married Melvin Taylor, who preceded her in
death in 1970. On June 13, 1981 in Chesterton she married William King, who
preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include two children, Joan (Robert)
Mahoney of Valparaiso and Paul (Diane) Taylor of Concord, CA; two step-children,
Jon (Joan) King of Zionsville, IN and Doug (Kim) King of Indianapolis, IN; five
grandchildren, Tammy (Brad) Greenwell, Rob Mahoney, Tara (Chris) Ings, Stephanie
Taylor and Cheryl (Peter) Seaberg; four step-grandchildren: Grant, Clint, Matt
(Jill), and Peter King; and eight great-grandchildren: Ben, Sam and Tim
Greenwell; Noah Mahoney; Trevor and Carter Ings; Brynn McGovern and Madison
Seaburg.
Following cremation at Angelcrest
Crematory, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday,
August 14 at 11:00 AM at the First United
Methodist Church in Valparaiso with the Rev. Dennis Deeter officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Melvin B. Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund at Kouts High
School for the benefit of a future teacher, or to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
