Rozlyn Blake-Allen, 48, of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010.  She was born May 14, 1962 in Chicago to Sammie and Mary (Leak) Blake.  Rozlyn had worked as the Food Service Manager at the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center and in the food service department at Valparaiso University.  She was a member of Union Community Church.  Survivors include seven children: Quantrell (Shana) Blake of Louisiana, Laroy Blake of Valparaiso, Terrance Blake of Valparaiso, Tashame Woods of Fort Wayne, Teaunia Blake of Valparaiso, Markee and Marcus Allen of Valparaiso; her mother, Mary Blake of Chicago; three sisters: Diane Wheeler of Chicago, Jacquelyn (George) Hannah of Merrillville, Jennifer (Tony) Thomas of Elizabethtown, KY; one brother, Darren (Barbara) Blake of Glenview, IL; and eight grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leroy Woods in 1987; second husband Mark Allen in 2008; her father, Sammie Blake; and one brother, Mark Blake.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, the Revs. Gregory Jones and Derek Perkins officiating, with burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rozlyn Blake-Allen Family Memorial Fund, in care of Laroy Blake.
