Dee Reiss, 68, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at home.  She was born October 4, 1941 in Caruthersville, MO to Johnny and Emma (Sampson) Hooker.  Dee had worked as a waitress at several area restaurants.  Survivors include one son, Tony (Jenny) Naccarato of Wanatah; three grandsons, Tony, Joey and Elijah; five sisters, Ina (Tom) Majka of Hobart, Glenda (John) Hackett of Valparaiso, Libby (Dane) Burns of Hobart, Ellen (Don) Adkins of Valparaiso and Sharon (Steve) Goodchild of Florida; one brother, Larry (Corene) Hooker of Gary; her home health aide, friend and pal Tara Plaheka, who loved to see Dee smile.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eugene Hooker; and two sisters, Opal Campbell and Joyce Sampson.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso.  Cremation will follow at Angelcrest Crematory.
