Katherine Romansky, 92, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center.  She was born July 20, 1917 in Chicago to Kelly and Anna (Dunga) Nousely.  Katherine had worked as a seamstress at Weiner’s Pants Factory in Gary and was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Merrillville.  Survivors include four grandchildren, Kristi Mihal of Valparaiso, Lisa Calhoun of Portage, Katherine Stephens of Arizona and Mike Nahod of Valparaiso; four great-grandchildren:  Nicholas Rettig, Jenna Mihal, Ashley Calhoun and Michael Calhoun and one great-great grandchild: Madyson Calhoun.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Nahod, in 1985. 
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, Fr. Peter Bodnar officiating with burial to follow at St. Mary Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Gary.  Visitation Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
