Edna M. Alt, 83, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2010.  She is survived by one daughter, Diane (Keith) Lawrence of Valparaiso, two grandsons, Ash Alt of Atlanta, GA, Sheldon Alt of Wanatah and daughter-in-law, Lorelie Alt.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; son Richard; parents; two sisters: Alice (Earl) Albee, Dora (Homer) Griffith, two brothers: LeRoy (Winifred) Bauman, twin Edward Bauman: and five nephews.
Edna was born July 1, 1927 in Loda, IL to parents Adolph and Amelia Bauman.  On June 30, 1946 in Paxton, IL she married Arthur Alt.  She was a secretary, homemaker, and retail buyer.  Edna enjoyed cooking, crafts, flowers, and music.  She loved her family and will be missed by them and many dear friends.  She was a member of the LaCrosse United Methodist Church.
In lieu of a funeral, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Moeller Funeral Home of Valparaiso was in charge of cremation.
